You the reader: what happened where did you go?
Cliff T.: Good question. It has been a long time since I have posted here on Candid Conversations. I am happy to say that I am getting ready to jump back in and do the blog again. As for the reasons behind the long time before posting. In short a lot of issues, included among them two deaths in my family, my mother and my aunt Helen. Other issues are more personal in nature and I am not going to go into details.
You the reader: When do you plan to blog again?
Cliff T.: Pretty much now, though I have to admit I have no interviews lined up so I have to look for people to do conversations with. But, I should have post number 50, up in July.
You the reader: What else will you be doing?
Cliff T.: I am looking at the idea of doing some short video segments and connecting them with the blog. The idea is to add commentary to the pages. I am also going to get more photogenic so to speak. Meaning you are going to see the people behind the story and where possible images of the work they are doing.
You the reader: Are you still planning on trying to make money from the blog?
Cliff T.: You bet I am. I am going to see about getting ads on here real soon but for now it's a project in the works. I am still a blogger at heart and want to ensure that the blog and the content are what stands out not any ads. If I can't find a balance, then the advertising thing is off the table.
You the reader: What kinds of topics are you planning to explore here on the blog?
Cliff T.: Generally speaking I look for stuff that is not in the mainstream media. Featured on the blog are people in business, authors and other interesting individuals doing things or talking about things not discussed on sites like CNN or CBC. Though I also do try to reach out to some news makers. I also tend to not go into politically charged subject matters or controversial subjects unless I think it's in the interest of those who read the blog.
You the reader: So what is the goal of the blog?
Cliff T.: Simply put to engage with people who are interesting who have a message to share. Also and eventually I want to actually make money doing this and I want to get a good strong following from people online. To close out, the idea is to take this blog and get to viral out and get people into and interested in what I do and the people I feature as well as the stories on the blog. I hope you'll find the blog interesting engaging and that you will visit often and share the story of Candid Conversations.
